WHO DID THE ENTIRE NY/NJ MOB CALL TO TRAIN THEIR DOGS?
Wise Guys’ Animal Trainer, Warren Eckstein, Also Trained for Royalty

Top-Dog Pet Behaviorist, Humorist, and TV and Radio Personality, Warren Eckstein, has a long history of training some of the most fascinating dogs on the planet, those who belonged to Mobsters, A-list celebrities, and Royalty.  As a young man who had a remarkable talent for understanding animals, and also with his absurd sense of humor, Warren became wildly popular and created a loyal following when he posted an implausible ad that read, “Will teach your dog Yiddish for $15”.  Soon, the Mob came a-calling, as did the rest of New York.

Now celebrating 40-years on radio, Warren still has his loyal following, but he’s reaching as many as 5 million loyal listeners a month on The Pet Show With Warren Eckstein.  Guests call into The Pet Show and “hop up on Warren’s couch” for his very straightforward approach to animal analysis.  It isn’t uncommon for Warren to dispense techniques like “get down on all fours with your pet”, as he administers advice from the pet’s perspective – rather than from the human’s point of view.  Warren’s unique and consistently refreshing psychological perspective and training advice stands apart from other animal behaviorists with his “Hugs & Kisses” positive training approach that overcomes the all-too-common human-to-pet miscommunications.

The Pet Show airs on KRLA (870AM The Answer Radio in Los Angeles) and is syndicated internationally by Radio America in 150 additional markets, including Guam and Canada.
“People take an animal and put it in a human environment.
Then they treat it like an animal and expect it to act human.”

ABOUT WARREN ECKSTEIN
Warren Eckstein has the unique ability to understand and communicate with animals.  Warren is the author of 11 animal behavior books, and he has personally trained over 40,000 pets and their two-legged owners to live in harmony with one another.  In his four decades as a pet psychologist, trainer, and behaviorist, Warren has employed his Hugs & Kisses™ positive approach.  He developed this method while stationed in Southeast Asia and working in Europe by observing and studying animal behavior. Upon returning home to Long Island, New York, and in search of clients, the young newlywed took a creative step by running an ad in the PennySaver which read, “Will teach your dog Yiddish for $15”.  By fulfilling a need as a pet therapist, Warren single-handedly created an industry that didn’t yet exist. And so it began. The phone calls came flooding in, and within a short time, Warren was training supermodel Cheryl Tiegs’ dogs, which was soon followed by training David Letterman’s dogs, Bob and Stan. For 15 years he was the Pet and Animal Expert on Live! With Regis & Kathie Lee, followed by his regular appearances on NBC’s The Today Show as Contributing Pet & Animal Editor.  Private celebrity clients throughout the years have included Al Pacino, Lily Tomlin, Liberace, Kathie Lee Gifford, Cheryl Tiegs, David Letterman, Rodney Dangerfield, and he became known as the official trainer to the NY Mob, among many other interesting clients. In his 40 years hosting The Pet Show on radio, Warren has helped over 100,000 pet owners with their pet’s psychological, training, and behavioral questions.

A privately funded California 501 (c) (3) non-profit Trust, the Hugs & Kisses Animal Fund aims to be the outsourced fundraising arm for small animal rescues when other financial resources are unavailable. HKAF is an all-volunteer organization where every penny raised goes to the animals.

About Hugs and Kisses Products
After repeatedly hearing the same questions from pet guardians like “How can I stop my dog from shedding?”, “Why does my dog have dry skin and a dull coat?”, “Why does my cat suffer from hairballs?”, Warren Eckstein recognized the need for a product to address multiple, common pet health concerns.  There were other supplements in the marketplace, but 30 years ago none offered a comprehensive approach.  Working with top U.S. veterinary nutritionists, Warren formulated Hugs & Kisses™ Four-In-One Vitamin Mineral Supplement Treats. His new Four-In-One formula improves gut health, supports bone and joint health, and provides a thick, lustrous coat for both dogs and cats. Hugs & Kisses™ are manufactured in Temecula, CA, and remain at the top of the pet supplement market as an Amazon’s Choice product.  Available on AmazonWalmart.com, and Wish.com
