Absolutely! My 7 yr old Bichon and his 5 mos old kitten sister get HUGS AND KISSES every single day. I tell them I love them. When I coming home I call and leave a message so they can both hear it. When I replay the message once I get home they roll all over the floor and you can actually see them smile.
My babies are told they are loved constantly. Last night I heard my Bichon lightly growling...I looked to the end of the bed and the cat was "making biscuits" on him. I told him she was just loving on him and he went back to sleep with her still making those biscuits. We brought his little sister into our home from a shelter 2 weeeks ago. It's all about love Warren...Makes for great animals and people! I have both your dog and cat books. Wonderful resourse!!!!! Thanks for everything you do for God's creatures and their owners. ;-)
Of course I do! Several times a day. Sometimes when I am at work I call and leave a message on the answering machine so they can hear it, telling them how much I love them and miss them.
Yes, I tell them each and every day - several times a day. I have a 14 year old cocker and I am grateful to have her each day. I also have a rescue cat who has severe allergies, but we are working on getting her healthy.
I also work with rescued cats and tell them I love them also - they need to hear those words as well as the touch of your hands.
Many people say they want to come back as one of my pets when they die - including my husband!
Yes, we tell him we love him all the time. Naturally, I don't expect him to understand the words, but I'm sure he gets comfort from the affection and tone of voice. Would that he did understand the words.
Yes, Of course--she is the only one that I have ever really truly loved.Only through my relationship with my dog did it become clear what it means to truly love. She liked when I whispered it in a high voice in her ear. It brought a big huge smile to her face. She's been gone for 2 months now but I can still see how it made her giggle.
Yes, definitely!!! All the time. I can tell by the look on her (Maya - dog) face that she understands somehow, someway what I am telling her and what I am meaning. (She gets very shy 'acting', wiping her paw across her face.)
Absolutely. Every day - often many times a day - and without care about who hears me! The words "I love you" resonate with them like none other, which is sooooo interesting! JJ
I not only tell Corky I love him many, many times a day, but I hug him just as much and every day he gets a massage and I have a song that I created that I sing to him. He may not be to crazy about my singing voice but he sure loves the massages.
